Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 3:30 PM and ending at 5:15 PM. There were seventy-nine children, ages seven months to twelve years old, in care during the inspection. The infants and toddlers were observed eating snack which consisted of cheese, crackers, and milk. The two and three year old children were observed playing ball on the carpet, playing games on the classroom computers, and with manipulatives. The older children were observed playing games, listening to books being read, and doing art projects. Eight children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Five staff records were reviewed. Six medications were reviewed and in compliance. The most recent fire inspection was documented as November 6, 2014. The most recent health inspection was documented as December 31, 2016. The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as July 6, 2017. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as January 12, 2017. The most recent lock-down drill was documented as February 24, 2017. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C
Description: Based on a review of five staff records, it was determined that not all staff records were complete. Evidence: Staff A's record did not contain documentation of a tuberculosis screening every 2 years as required, the most recent tb screening was documented as 3/23/2015.

Plan of Correction: The staff had an updated tb screening completed but the documentation was unable to be located during the inspection. The center will obtain documentation of the screening and place it in the staff record.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A
Description: Based on a review of documentation, it was determined the facility did not have a current annual fire inspection. Evidence: The most recent fire inspection was dated November 6, 2014.

Plan of Correction: The center will contact the Fire Marshal and schedule an fire inspection.
