Technical Assistance:
Discussed Orientation Documentation and Emergency Preparedness plans as it relates to 16 hours of documented annual training.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal was conducted from 1230 until 3 pm. The Inspector reviewed children's records, staff records, medication procedures, daily reports, and reports. There were 15 children present with the staff and the Director was not available. The staff were cooperative and readily available to assist the Inspector in the renewal. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A
Description: Based on record review, it was determined the fire inspection report has expired. Evidence: 1. The annual fire permit that was posted on the wall ahs an expiration date on April 30, 2017.

Plan of Correction: We will check and fax the most recent Fire Inspection to the licensing office

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D
Description: Based on record review, it was determined the program has implemented only one of the 2 required shelter in place drills within the last 16 months.

Plan of Correction: We will conduct one this summer and again in the fall so we can be on track.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-3-D
Description: Based on record review of nine staff files, it was determined the center was not able to provide repeat background checks for five staff. Evidence: 1. Staff #3, and #4 do not have current CR Checks. Staff 3's CR Check expired July 25, 2016 and Staff 4's expired August 11, 2016. 2. Staff 4, 5, 6, and 7 do not have current CPS Background searches. Staff #4's expired September 4, 2016, Staff #5's expired June 22, 2017, Staff 6's expired July 24, 2017, and staff 7's expired July 22, 2017.

Plan of Correction: We are sure these have been completed and will request documents from our central office.
