An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 5 children in care on site, with a total of 4 staff members assigned to their supervision. In addition, there were 116 children attending an off site swimming field trip, with a total of 18 staff members assigned to their care and supervision. The on site children were observed creating art projects, playing games, and eating lunch. The children were served turkey and cheese bagels, apple slices, carrot slices, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:45 am and 11:50 am. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record #5 includes the parent as one of the listed emergency contact people. Plan of Correction: The child does not attend this school during the school year. Summer camp ends tomorrow. We will either contact the parent today and ask for an acceptable emergency contact, or we will inform his base school to alert them to follow up before school starts.
