Technical Assistance:
Subsidy and new background check requirements were reviewed.

Comments:
The inspector conducted an unannounced subsidy inspection from 11:30 until 2:45. There were 46 children in care upon arrival with staff maintaining ratio. Children were observed eating lunch, preparing for and having a nap, being given first aid (one child) and playing. Five staff records and five children's records were reviewed. The violation is identified on the violation notice. Please call your inspector at 276-698-9981 with any questions.

Description: Based on record review, all staff did not have first aid and cpr training within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed five staff records. One of five records did not have the required first aid/cpr training. Staff #5 was hired 6/21/17 and had not completed first aid and cpr training. New employees have 30 days from date of hire to complete the training.

Plan of Correction: The staff member will complete the training asap.
