Technical Assistance:
Discussed ratios and the requirement for the ratio to remain at 1staff/18 children when 5-8 year old children are present. Be mindful of scheduling to ensure ratio is always in compliance.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today beginning at 9:30am. Upon the arrival of the Licensing Inspector, 52 children were present with 3 staff. A fourth staff member arrived 15 minutes after the beginning of the inspection. Ratios remained in compliance throughout the inspection. The physical space, 10 children's records, staff records, evacuation drills, the Emergency Preparedness Plan, menu, medications and emergency supplies were reviewed. Required documents were posted. Children were observed working on arts/crafts, cleaning up to play outside and interacting with staff members. Interactions were positive. Today was a teacher workday and the current theme is "Heroes, Trendsetters and Icons". No violations were cited today.
