Conversations about subsidy requirements, curriculum and tablet communication.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/28/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This inspection began at 1:20 and ended at 4:15. There were 9 staff with 46 children in 5 classroom/s at the time of the visit. At the start of the inspection, children were observed eating snack and napping. Children's files, emergency preparedness procedures, fire drill log were reviewed. The physical plant and playground were inspected. There was one medication on site at this time. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Thank you for your cooperation today. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-005-B
Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain written record of daily departure. Evidence: The classroom daily attendance sheets did not contain record of each child's departure from care.

Plan of Correction: We'll create a new attendance sheet that shows the time in and time out of each child.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A
Description: Based on record review, the center did not have procedures to address reuniting children with parents in the event of an emergency. Evidence: Record review and staff interview confirmed that a reunification plan has not be designed.

Plan of Correction: We will adopt a new program soon so that we can send a mass message to the parents. We will inform the parents in the October newsletter of our new plan.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-3
Description: Based on record review, the center did not have lockdown procedures. Evidence: Staff interviews confirmed that there was no written lockdown plan.

Plan of Correction: We can type up a plan and review it with the teachers at our next staff meeting. We will get it posted in the classrooms with the rest of our safety procedures.
