VENDSUB-000 STAFF QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
VENDSUB-000 SPECIAL CARE PROVISIONS AND EMERGENCIES
Licensing inspector arrived at 4:30 pm and departed at 6:00 pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. There were forty - three children in care with 3 staff . Children were observed participating in various table activities and snack time. The sample size consisted of 5 children records. Areas of non-compliance was reviewed with the director.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-004-F Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not have posted or a immediately accessible to staff a current list of all children's allergies, sensitivities and dietary. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on September 28, 2017, child #1 had a physician diagnosed allergy but it was not posted or accessible for staff. Plan of Correction: The program director will have it posted.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on September 28, 2017, child #1 did not have a written allergy care plan from a physician for there diagnosed food allergy. Plan of Correction: The program director will have the parent get a allergy care plan.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A Description: Based on and interview and review of procedures, the vendor did not have all lockdown components required. The emergency plan did not include reunification for evacuation, shelter in place and lockdown. Evidence: During the subsidy inspection conducted on September 28, 2017, the vendor 's lockdown procedures did not have the following components: - Methods to alert staff and emergency responders - Methods to communicate with parents and emergency responders - Accommodations for children with special needs to ensure a safe lockdown The vendor did not have procedures for reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child and accommodations for children with special needs to ensure a safe evacuation , shelter in place and lockdown. Plan of Correction: The program directors will work on updating information tomorrow.
