The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 9:20am - 11:15am. There were 18 preschool children in care with two staff. The children were observed playing in centers, at circle time and preparing for lunch. Five children's records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-140-A Description: Based on record reviews, the center failed to obtain documentation of a physical. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed five children's records. One of five records reviewed (child record #4) did not contain documentation of a physical and child's date of enrollment was 08/17/17. Plan of Correction: The teacher will remind the child's parents that a copy of the child's physical is needed for the child's record.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have all hazardous substances stored in a locked place. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the kitchen. There was a container of Clorox wipes in an unlocked base cabinet. Plan of Correction: The container was moved to a locked place during the inspection.
