Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 8:30am-10:30am. At the time of inspection, 27 children (6 weeks through two years) were directly supervised by 7 staff and ratios were in compliance. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 6 staff records including the new center director. Children were observed during circle time and listening to a story. Infants were observed napping, having tummy time, and being fed. Diapering and hand washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. During the inspection, new classroom arrangements were measured. The center was recently renovated including new partitions, sinks and diaper changing stations. Area of non-compliance is identified in the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector at megan.smith@dss.virginia.gov
