An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted with the center director and center staff. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date (see that report for details). There are currently 3 staff employed by the facility. All staff have documentation of the mandatory VA Preservice Training and are currently certified in first aid and CPR. There are 4 children with diagnosed food allergies currently enrolled. The emergency preparedness plan was reviewed for reunification plans and lockdown procedures. Reminder: evacuation drills are required monthly, shelter in place drills are required twice a year, and a lockdown drill is required once a year. Lockdown drills are to isolate children and staff from a security threat; shelter in place is to protect children from a natural or manmade threat. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at email@example.com. The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal.
