A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on October 18, 2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Six children's records were reviewed. The record for five staff members were reviewed. There were thirty-eight children in care with seven teachers working directly with them. There was a floater to assist as needed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A violation was found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and is identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on interview and documentation the facility failed to have a written allergy plan for one child with a food allergy. Evidence: 1. On 10/18/2017 the licensing inspector reviewed documentation for child #1 and there was no written allergy plan of action in the record. 2. On 10/18/2017 staff #1 confirmed child #1 has a food allergy and there is no written allergy plan of action. Plan of Correction: I will notify the parent of child #1 immediately that we must have a written plan of action for the food allergy. I will have this for the record by Monday. In the interim we will follow the parents written instructions provided.
