Reviewed all current and upcoming changes to background check procedures. All information regarding background check procedures will be communicated only via email.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 53 children in care, with a total of 10 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, new and returning staff records, children's medications, the physical plant, and emergency preparedness items were inspected today. The children were observed engaged in a large variety of activities, including: playing outside, eating snack from home, participating in Show and Tell, creating many various Fall art projects, listening to stories, and engaging in creative play. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:45 am and 12:10 pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-B Description: Based on a review of new staff background checks, it was determined that one required background check has not been completed. Evidence: There is no Child Protective Services (CPS) registry check findings for staff D, who began employment on 9/5/17. Plan of Correction: I will continue looking for the findings report today. If I cannot locate it, I will submit a new CPS request this week.
