Reminder: Practice one lockdown drill per year.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/17/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection began at 9:55am and ended at 1:30pm. There were 31 children in care with ten staff supervising. The children were observed playing, having snacks, listening to a story and napping. Six staff?s records and five children?s records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-1 Description: Based on record reviews, the vendor failed to have all staff trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
1. The inspector reviewed six staff records. Two of six records reviewed (staff records #1 and #5) did not have documentation of current CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: The director will try to schedule a CPR class for the staff this weekend.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-2 Description: Based on record reviews, the vendor failed to have all staff trained in first aid.

1. The inspector reviewed the center's emergency preparedness plan and all components of the lockdown procedure were not included in the plan.
Plan of Correction: The director updated the emergency plan to include the lockdown procedures during the inspection.
