Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on October 20th 2017 between 9:00am and 11:30am. There were 45 children in the direct care of 10 staff members. Children were observed washing hands, reading stories, eating breakfast, playing on the playground, and working on art projects. Staff were observed to be consistently engaged with the children and using positive reinforcement to praise new skills being learned. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-G
Description: Based on observation, hazardous substances that were not kept in original containers did not clearly indicate their contents in the substitute container. Evidence: A substitute container containing a bleach water mixture was not labeled with the contents.

Plan of Correction: Was corrected at the time of inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B
Description: Based on observation, the diapering surface was not observed to be nonabsorbent. Evidence: There are 3 tiny rips on the surface of the diapering pad that makes the item absorbent.

Plan of Correction: We will purchase a new one.
