Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on July 14, 2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 4 children in care, 2 staff were present. The children were observed during the lunch meal, all children had brought packed lunches from home. The children participated in free play and coloring. A sample of children's and staff records was reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. Findings were reviewed at exit with the named PD. The inspection was conducted from approximately 11:40am to 3:00pm. Thank you.

Description: The facility failed to have a written emergency preparedness plan that addresses staff responsibility and facility readiness with respect to emergency lockdown procedures. Evidence: The LI requested to review the lockdown procedures, staff reported that the procedures had not been written.

Plan of Correction: The named PD will assist in development of lockdown procedures.
