Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 11/14/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There are 26 children and 3 staff after school today. 3 staff files were reviewed for specific components only. Full staff files are reviewed at the main office at another time. 5 children's files were reviewed. All were in compliance. The bathroom supplies, first aid supplies, emergency supplies, emergency evacuation drills and posted documents are all in compliance. Children were observed during transitions to SACC from school, washing hands, eating snack and doing homework and enjoying a variety of activities. The playground was not inspected today due to inclement conditions. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at 703-479-4678 or at Sarah.Marbert@dss.virginia.gov. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. LI was present from 3:15 PM (prior to children's arrival) - 4:35 PM.
