Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted today from 130-245. The Inspector reviewed records, procedures and maintaining of all center files. The Director has organized files, documented ongoing training for the staff. Several staff have been certified in First Aid, CPR, and MAT. The center is clean and no hazards were noted. Please call with questions.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-40-K
Description: Based on interviews and record review, the center has not developed a temporary written playground safety plan that addresses safety procedures on the black top. Evidence: 1. Playground has been closed because a new playground is going in. Staff stated they use the black top during this time and use balls and equipment in the fenced in area. 2. The current playground plan addresses safety procedures for the playground that is currently closed and not in use.

Plan of Correction: Will develop a playground plan that addresses safety on the black top.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A
Description: Based on review of the Orientation content, the Program has not included recognizing abuse in the Documentation of Orientation. Evidence: 1. The Inspector reviewed 3 staff files and all three have Documentation of Orientation but these forms did not include recognizing along in the statement "Procedures for reporting suspected abuse or neglect..."

Plan of Correction: We will use the current form provided and have any new staff complete the training. Current staff have gone through abuse and neglect through the 10 hours program.
