Staffing and ratio requirements on full days were discussed.
An unannounced inspection was completed today from 730-920. The children remained in the program for the entire day because school was not in session. The Inspector reviewed children's records, staff records, attendance reports, injury reports, fire drill records, medication procedures, and supervision. Please call with questions 703-479-4679
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center has not maintained the inside area in a clean and safe condition. Evidence: 1. Inspector checked the children's bathrooms inside the rooms and both had dirt and yellow stains around the toilets and on the baseboards. 2. The door frames inside the classrooms had signs of chipped and peeling paint. Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-350-E-5 Description: Based on observation and interviews, the the center did not maintain the required supervision ratio of 1 staff to 18 children. Evidence: 1. The Inspector arrived at 730 AM and found 2 staff present with the children. Staff stated there are only two staff present until 930. At 850 AM, there were 37 children present and only 2 staff and when Inspector left there were 39 children present with 2 staff. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
