Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on November 29, 2017. The purpose of this visit was to measure compliance with the licensing standards. There were 61 children, infant to preschool age, in care at the time of the inspection. There were 12 staff members working directly with the children in their classrooms. All classrooms maintained the proper ratio. The children throughout the facility were engaged in activity. The infants were having tummy time and napping. The toddlers were painting reindeer antlers. The twos and the pre-k classes were outside playing on their separate playgrounds. The preschool class was playing with playdoh, trucks, dinosaurs and other toys during free choice activities. For lunch, the children were served a beef patty with cheese on a whole wheat bun, carrots, potato wedges and milk. Staff was observed interacting with the children and providing assistance when needed. The facility was equipped with manipulatives and supplies and items were available to the children. Medication is administered and multiple staff has MAT training. Last documented health inspection: 11/13/2017 Last documented fire inspection: 2/15/17 During the inspection, 6 children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Approximate time on site: 10:18am to 1:00pm

Description: Based on observations in the preschool room, the facility did not ensure that all areas inside and outside the facility were maintained in a safe condition. EVIDENCE: Peeling paint was observed on a wall in the preschool room.

Plan of Correction: A work order has already been submitted and it should be completed by the end of today.
