A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 11/30/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:45am-2:00pm. There were 55 children (infants-4yrs.) directly supervised by 10 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, painting, singing "Frosty the Snowman" and "The Wheels on the Bus", playing outside, and eating lunch. Today's lunch consisted of whole grain macaroni and cheese, peas and carrots, apricots and milk. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Maria Soto at firstname.lastname@example.org or (571) 835-5058. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
