Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on December 19, 2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Upon arrival in the center at approximately 12:50pm, there were 58 children present. The children were grouped in 4 classrooms. During the inspection the LI observed the children during varied activities which included: nap time, free play, snack time, teacher directed activities (music) and outdoor play. Later in the afternoon, 42 school-age children arrived to the Center. A sample of 6 children's records and 7 staff records was reviewed. Documentation of the Center's annual fire and health inspections was current. Medications were observed for 4 children. A discussion was held with the center's Administrator regarding the emergency plan and written lock-down procedures. The unification plan is to be included in the Center's emergency preparedness plan for all required emergency procedures. A licensing inspection was conducted on the dame date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. The inspection concluded at 5:25pm. If you have any questions, please call this LI at (540)309-2310. Thank you.
