Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-N Description: Based on review, when an authorization for medication expires, medication that expired was not returned to the parent within 14 days or disposed of by the center by either dissolving the medication down the sink or flushing it down the toilet. Evidence: 1. Child C had a medication at the center located in the locked medication box that had an expiration date of 10/2017. Plan of Correction: I will give the medication back to the parent tonight.
