Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 01/11/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 23 children, ages 3 months-5 years, and 4 staff providing direct supervision present during today's inspection. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records and 5 staff records. The center does not administer medication. The children were observed in the following activities: centers, free choice activities, circle time, lunch and nap time. Infants were observed being fed on demand and sleeping on demand. The inspector reviewed the emergency preparedness plans, parent policies and staff policies. The inspector discussed the following with the provider: updates to the fingerprinting process, room arrangement, over-the-counter skin ointments, changing the medication policy, table sanitization, infant/toddler feeding tables, labeling items, and nutrition. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations were found during this supplemental inspection. The inspector arrived at 9:10 a.m. and departed at 12:40 p.m. Thank you for your time today. If you have any questions, please contact me at 540-309-2835.
