- Technical Assistance:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 2/7/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
The following staff-to-child ratios were observed:
Infant A 8 infants with 2 staff
Infant B 10 infants with 3 staff
Toddler 14 children with 3 staff
Two Years 16 children with 2 staff
Preschool 1A 15 children with 2 staff
Preschool 2 A 18 children with 2 staff
Preschool 2B 20 children with 2 staff
Pre-K 18 children with 2 staff
Ten staff files reviewed.
Ten children's files reviewed.
Four medications were reviewed.
Conversations were held with several staff and children.
Classroom observations conducted.
Inspection started at 9:30 a. m. and concluded at 12:30.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date: the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-1 Description: Based on review of staff records the center did not have all staff trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Evidence: On 2/7/18, staff #1 and #2 did not have current CPR certification. Plan of Correction: The director contacted First aid and CPR agency immediately upon discovering and scheduled a class for staff #1 and #2 for the next day, 2/8/18.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-2 Description: Based on review of staff files the center did not have all staff trained in first aid. Evidence: On 2/7/18, staff #1 did not have current certification in first aid training. Plan of Correction: The director contacted First aid and CPR agency immediately upon discovering and scheduled a class for staff #1 for the next day, 2/8/18.
