An unannounced other inspection was conducted on February 7, 2018 regarding modification . One room was measured to be utilized by the children in care. The restroom area was inspected in the additional classroom. Areas of noncompliance are identified on the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not ensure areas and equipment of the center, inside , were maintained clean, safe and in operable condition. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on February 7, 2018, in the toddler classroom there was peeling paint on the base board , door and cabinet. There was a white shelf with a TV , DVD and VCR that was approximately 4.5 feet tall not secured to the wall which could be a tipping hazard.

Plan of Correction: Bookshelf was removed )by order of the owner) from the room on 2/8/18. All of the trim, shelves, and doors in the room were painted by the church sexton at the request of the owner. Work was completed on 2/15/18. Owner will ensure no tip hazards are in the room.
