Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, March 19, 2018. The on-site inspection was conducted from 10:15a.m. to 1:20p.m. On this date, there were 39 children in the care of four staff members in two classrooms. There were a total of 40 children enrolled in the preschool program. Five children's records were reviewed and four staff members and four children were interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for two children. Staff records will be reviewed during the next inspection at the MACAA Head Start administration office. Lunch was served by the elementary school and consisted of baked chicken, baked beans, pears, and milk. Some of the items observed and reviewed included: three injury reports, required posted material, documentation of emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, first aid kit and emergency supplies, warm water temperature, current fire and health inspections, centers, language art activities, transitions, behavioral guidance, hand washing and bathroom procedures, lunch, and nap.
