- Technical Assistance:
Reviewed regulations 500 B diapering surface, 350 staff to child ratio and 240 C training for drivers.
Licensing inspector arrived at 12:30 pm and departed at 3:15 pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. At the time of the tour there were nineteen children in care with 3 staff . Children were observed napping . The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 5 staff records. Areas of non-compliance was reviewed with the director.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure staff had documentation of tuberculosis screening with in the past 2 years. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on March 22, 2018, staff #1's last TB test was completed on October 6, 2015 and staff #4 last TB test was completed on July 22, 2018 which is more than 2 years old. Plan of Correction: The program director/ owner will locate the document. The staff will give her a copy of the TB test.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not ensure the area inside and outside was maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on March 22, 2018 the following was observed in the building in the bathroom by the three and four year old classrooms, there were there was rust on the right and left handicap grab bars when touched by the inspector a red color residue came off onto inspector's hand. Plan of Correction: The program director will have the rust removed from the grab bars.
