Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted in the center on March 15, 2018. Upon arrival in the center at approximately 11:10am, the Licensing Inspector observed eighteen children and 3 staff present. As reported by the Lead Teacher, 18 children are currently enrolled in the program. The Licensing Inspector observed the children in their classroom during centers and a teacher directed activity, staff read a story to the children. The children were also observed during free play on the fenced playground. The LI accompanied the children and staff to the school cafeteria for the lunch meal. Hand washing procedures were observed before and after the lunch meal. The children prepared for nap/rest time after lunch. A sample of 6 children's records was reviewed. Prescribed medications were observed in the center, medications and written authorizations to administer were reviewed for 2 children. Three staff have completed medication administration training (MAT). Documentation of the center's annual fire and health inspections was current. Reminder given to the Lead teacher to contact the local health department to request an updated environmental/sanitation report based on the current date of the school's last inspection report. Complete staff records are maintained off site at the central office. Three staff records were reviewed on March 9, 2018. The information required by Standards was complete and current. All violations were corrected from the previous inspection. There were no violations observed during this inspection. The inspection concluded at 3:30pm.
