Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on April 10, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The director and her assistant were present. There were 10 infants in care, all 12months and older, with 3 staff. In on of the Two Year Old groups there were 6 children with 1 staff, and in the second group there were 7 children with 2 staff. All of the groups were engaged in story time and letter activities. Later they washed their hands and ate lunch. Lunch for the day included chicken nuggets, peas, peaches, roll, and milk. Five children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. No medication was being administered. There were no children in care with diagnosed food allergies and allergy action plans. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice Inspection began: 10:20 Inspection ended: 12:30

Description: Based on a review of documentation, the center did not have documentation that a lock down procedure had been practiced in the past year. Evidence: Documentation of emergency drills did not include a lock down drill for 2017.

Plan of Correction: A lock down drills will be practiced today and documented.
