An unannounced 60 day monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. with the director, managing partner, and partner. Seven children, ages 16 months through 5 years old, were under the care and supervision of three staff. The children were observed washing hands after breakfast, playing with a variety of toys and activities, dancing to a number song, listening to a readaloud, and participating in centers. Required information was posted. Both the fire and health inspections are current. There are no medications for the children in care. Staff onsite hold current certification in daily health observation, first aid/CPR, and medication administration training (MAT). Three staff records and four children's records were all reviewed. For any questions about this inspection, please contact licensing inspector Marty Quade at (540) 272-5065 and Marty.Quade@dss.virginia.gov.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-80-A Description: Based on a review of the written attendance record, the center did not ensure all children were included on the written attendance record. Evidence: The written attendance record listed three children. However, 7 children were physically present. Plan of Correction: The attendance was updated immediately during the inspection. Attendance will be completed and maintained in every classroom.
