This unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 4/30/18 from 9:45 am until 12:30 pm. At the time of the inspection 24 children were in care with three staff, two parents and two volunteers. The sample size consisted of five children's records and five staff's records. No child had medication at the center at the time of the inspection. Children and staff were observed during free play, art activities, story time, singing, clean-up, hand washing, snack preparation, snack, outdoor play, pick-up, transitions, and behavioral management. No repeat violations were found. Violations found during this inspection are on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on a review of the emergency drill records and interview, the administration failed to ensure an emergency evacuation drill was conducted every month. Evidence: 1. No drill was documented for the month of March. 2. Per an administrator, an emergency evacuation drill was not conducted for the month of March. Plan of Correction: The administration will ensure an emergency evacuation drill is completed each month.
