A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 05/18/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection began at 9:00am and ended at 12:30pm. There were 27 children in care with five staff. The children were observed playing with the available toys, at circle time, playing dress-up and coloring. Five staff?s records and five children?s records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-1 Description: Based on record reviews, the center failed to have staff obtain certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed five staff's records. Two of five records reviewed (staff records #2 and #3) did not contain documentation of current CPR training. Both staff began employment on 04/02/2018. Plan of Correction: Center staff will contact a trainer to have new staff trained in CPR.
