22VAC40-191 Background Checks (22VAC40-191)
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:45am - 1:00pm. Upon arrival there were 108 children in care with 23 staff present. A sample of 10 children and 5 staff records were reviewed in addition to medication. Children were observed eating lunch, during nap and reading. Infants were observed sleeping in cribs and being fed by staff.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a a safe locking method that prevents access to children. Evidence: The door to the school age room was open. There was a disinfectant spray on one of the children's cubbies. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the Assistant Director during the exit interview: The disinfectant spray was removed during the inspection.
