Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 11:30pm through 2:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 59 children in care with nine staff. Children present ranged in age from 3months to five years old. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including nap restroom routines, outside play and snack. One violation regarding CPR and First Aid. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-F Description: Based on record review and interview the vendor failed to ensure that staff obtain CPR and first aid training within 90 days of employment. Evidence: 1 - The records for staff 1 and 2 do not contain documentation of CPR or first aid training. a. Staff 1 has a documented date of employment of 10/6/16. b. Staff 2 has a documented date of employment of 8/19/16. 2 - Staff 3 confirmed that staff 1 and 2 have not obtained CPR and first aid training. Plan of Correction: Center management will ensure that all staff obtain CPR and first aid within the required time frames.
