During the inspection, the licensing representative discussed with staff methods for ensuring appropriate documentation is obtained regarding children with diagnosed food allergies.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 6/4/2018 from 2:20pm-3:40pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Inspector arrived approximately an hour and a half prior to release bell - thus no children were observed in care. Extensive file review was completed which consisted of a sample of 7 children's records, 5 staff records, injury reports, medications, injury reports and emergency drills. Staff were observed organizing the program area, sanitizing tables used for eating, preparing snack [cinnamon cream cheese bagels and milk]. There were no violations during today's inspection. If you have any questions, please contact me at Ivaco.Clarke@dss.virginia.gov or 571-835-5505. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Please contact me if you have any questions at Ivaco.Clarke@dss.virginia.gov or 571-835-5505.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor.
