A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 6/14/18 from 10:25 am until 1:35 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the inspection 15 children were in care with three staff and one volunteer. The sample size consisted of five staff?s records, five children?s records and two diaper ointments. Children and staff were observed during free indoor play, structured indoor play, hand washing, bathroom break, lunch preparations, lunch, clean-up, nap, reading time, transitions, and behavioral guidance. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A violations was found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and is identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-032-A Description: Based on interview, the director failed to ensure lockdown procedures were practiced at least annually. Evidence: The director stated drills for lockdown procedures were not complete in 2017. Plan of Correction: A lockdown drill will be conducted in 2018.
