A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on June 12, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 102 children and 17 staff present during the inspection. The children were observed in five groups. Various activities were observed by the LI which included: free play, lunch, nap/rest time, movie time and dismissal. Medications were observed in the Center. A sample of records was reviewed. The Center has compiled a list to identify enrolled children with diagnosed food allergies. Documentation of the Center's practiced emergency drills, to include a lock down drill, was reviewed. A discussion was held with the PD regarding the subsidy vendor model forms that are available on the Department's web site. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. The inspection was conducted from approximately 11:15 AM to 3:30PM.
