An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on Monday, June 18, 2018, from approximately 1:30pm until 3:30pm. Present today were sixteen children with three staff. When the licensing inspector arrived, the children were watching a movie. This week the center's theme is celebrating holidays. Today the children were celebrating Valentine's Day. They play word search, Valentine tic-tac-toe and found words from the word Valentine. Later they choose centers.
AM Snack: cereal and milk
PM Snack: cookies and juice
Families provide their children with lunch.
The last evacuation drill was practiced 5/30/18. A practice shelter-in-place drill was conducted 3/20/18.
First aid supplies and emergency supplies were present.
Five staff records and five children's records were inspected.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-470-A Description: Based on inspection of the facility, the center did not ensure the pool located on the premises was fenced and locked. Evidence: The swimming pool located on the property is in renovation and the locked fence has been removed. Renovation began 6/14/18. The pool is open and filled and accessible to children. Plan of Correction: Per Center: "Due to the renovation of the swimming pool on our property, children have been prohibited from being outdoors. We will continue to prohibit outdoor play until the fence is reconstructed."
