An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:05am to 11:00am. 88 children were present with 17 staff. Ratios were in compliance. The physical space, 8 children's records, 5 staff records, evacuation drills, injury reports, the Emergency Preparedness Plan, the menu and attendance records were reviewed. Required documents were posted. Infant bottles were labeled correctly and children were seen in tummy time. Children were observed playing outside in shaded areas, manipulating blocks and animal figurines, eating snack (cereal/milk) and interacting with staff members. Staff were observed engaging in a positive manner with the children. The space was clean, organized and contained an abundance of developmentally appropriate materials.
