A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 07/05/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing Inspector arrived at 12:50pm and departed at 3:30pm to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. At the time of the tour there were 106 children in care with 12 staff present. A sample of 3 staff and 4 children's records were reviewed in addition to the weekly menu. Children were observed during nap. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-F Description: Based on a record review the vendor failed to ensure all staff had a current CPR/First Aid Training. Evidence: Staff #2 (hired 09/26/17) did not have documentation of having current CPR/First Aid Training Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the director during the exit interview: Staff #2' s CPR and First Aid training expired in December. This was an oversight. Staff #2 is leaving in August.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A Description: Based on a record review the vendor failed to ensure all required components were included in the center's written emergency preparedness plan. Evidence: The vendor's written emergency plan did not include the following: A procedure to address an intruder or reunification plans for an evacuation, shelter-in-place or intruder. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the director during the exit interview: The director wrote down notes during the exit interview and will revise the emergency plan to include all required information.
