Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:30am-1:30pm. Upon arrival there were 86 children in care with A sample of 2 staff and 8 children's records were reviewed in addition to 4 medications. Children were observed during lunch and nap. The center is having summer camp. In-house field trips are being offered during camp.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F
Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all the most recent USDA standards were followed for food brought from home. Evidence: The children were served macaroni and cheese with peas and apple sauce. The Assistant Director stated that the macaroni was not whole grain.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the assistant director during the exit interview: The center will reevaluate the menu and make appropriate changes.
