A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 7/17/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45. There were 13 infants and toddlers in care. Children were observed playing outside, being fed a bottle, being fed lunch, and playing inside. No medications are being administered at this time. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-B Description: Based on record review, a staff person did not have complete the Virginia Preservice Training within 90 days of employment. Plan of Correction: Staff will complete the training.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-032-A Description: Based on interview, the center failed to complete a lock down drill. Evidence: 1. The inspector discussed with the director the need for a lock down drill. Plan of Correction: The center will complete a lock down drill annually and document it.
