Central Registry changes/follow up documentation.
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection, at which play groups, water play, story time, movie time, lunch time, personal hygiene, and activities were observed. Children were observed; and staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed. Twenty-one (21) children, aged 2y-5y, were found to be in care with 5 staff, kitchen staff, and office staff. The schoolers were on a field trip during the inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on review of staff files the facility failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required relating to proof of education of staff. Evidence: Staff #2, hire date 6/26/18, did not have proof of education on file. Staff #4, hire date 6/18/18, did not have proof of education on file. Staff #5, hire date 6/18/18, did not have proof of education on file. Plan of Correction: This information will be obtained and placed in their files for future review and compliance. Future new hires will be required to provide this documentation upon job offering/acceptance for compliance.
