Discussed with center management assessment of the playground.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between 10:25am to 12:30pm. There were 46 children in care of 10 staff members. The children were observed playing with legos, toy animals and cars, using the computer for educational purposes, playing outdoors, being bottle fed and getting diapers changed. The lunch menu included Chicken with taragon, whole wheat rotini, southwest salad, fresh fruit . Medications and medication authorizations were reviewed. 5 children and staff files were reviewed. Emergency drills were current. Areas of non-compliance are listed in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain documentation of immunizations for children enrolled before the first day of attendance. Evidence: Child # 1's first day of attendance was 8/13/18. Documentation of immunizations were not obtained by the center before Child # 1 started at the center. Plan of Correction: We will get the immunization records from the parents.
