An unannounced monitoring was conducted in the preschool and co-op programs. All children were in ratio with direct care staff, parents, and volunteers. Rooms are well maintained and equipped with age appropriate materials. Observed children playing in the gym, transition from snack, circle time and free play. All trainings for staff are current as well as drills, labeled and dated lunch boxes and medication authorizations. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, 1 of 2 records is incomplete. Evidence: A record for the preschool program (child #1) is missing a second emergency contact. Plan of Correction: Information will be requested from the parent.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, hazardous substances are not kept in a locked place. Evidence: 1. Two containers were on a shelf in the preschool classroom. 2. A can of Lysol was in the co-op bathroom Plan of Correction: All were moved to a locked storage area during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-520-B Description: Based on observation, sunscreens were not properly labeled. Evidence: Two sunscreens were not labeled with the child's name in the co-op classroom. Plan of Correction: Sunscreens will be labeled or disposed of if no one claims them.
