Out of State Central Registry checks should be copied and dated prior to mailing to help staff track dates. After 45 days if an Out of State Registry has not been returned the center should follow up with a phone call and document the follow-up. Information can be filed in the staff record. Some states will not send results and if they send a letter it should be filed with the request.
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. Forty four children were in care with direct care staff. Children were observed reading, transitioning from lunch to rest time. Lunch served today was spaghetti and meat sauce, spinach salad, fruit and milk. Emergency drills, trainings and medication authorizations for emergency medications for children are current. No new injury forms since the previous visit this past January. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice.
