A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on August 27, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Ten staff were present with seventy-one children. Additional staff were present for administrative and kitchen duties. Seven children's and seven staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on review, facility did not ensure children's records have a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include, instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: On August 27, 2018, the record for child #5 has documentation of a food allergy (eggs and oats) and there is not a allergy action plan. Plan of Correction: A allergy action plan will be given to parents tonight.
