An unannounced inspection was completed on 08/27/2018 from 9:40 A.M.-1:05P.M. At the time of the inspection 23 children were in care with four staff and one administrator present. Five children records, five staff records, three over the coutner medications, emergency plan, first aid kits, emergency supplies, playground, and posted required information were reviewed. Children were observed during storytime, music and movement, free choice play, art activities, outside play, handwashing, lunchtime, and naptime. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on review of children records, the center failed to obtain the required information regarding emergency contacts for one child. Evidence: 1. Child #3's record did not contain a second emergency contact. Date of enrollment was 08/21/2018. 2. Staff verified that the record was missing one emergency contact. Plan of Correction: The administrator will talk with the parent and have another emergency contact added by the end of the week.
