An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m. with the center director. There were forty-nine children in care ranging in age from six months to five years of age with ten staff providing direct supervision. Infants were observed sleeping. Older infants were observed during playtime. Toddlers were observed during transition from outside time and during story time. Two year olds were observed during sensory play. Three year olds were observed during bathroom time, transition and during outdoor play. Fours and fives were observed during centers and clean-up and transition. Six children's records and four staff records were reviewed. Emergency drills were up to date. There are no medications on site; there are six staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B Description: Based on observation, the diapering area was not used for only diapering and cleaning children. Evidence: In the two's room, there was an art project on top of the diapering pad. Plan of Correction: The paper was removed during the inspection and staff will be reminded that only diapering should occur on the diapering changing pad.
