- Technical Assistance:
Room 1 is considerably warmer than Room 2. Although the actual temperature in Room 1 is acceptable, it very warm and uncomfortable. Please continue to have this issue addressed and corrected.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 66 children in care, with a total of 5 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, emergency preparedness items, children's nutrition, classroom programming, children's medications, and the physical plant were inspected today. The children were observed finishing snack, playing games in the gym, completing homework assignments, reading books, playing games, and creating art projects. This inspection was completed between approximately 3:45pm and 4:50pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-A Description: Based on a review of children's health records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record #3 does not include an immunization record. Plan of Correction: I already submitted a list to the school nurse. I will follow up to get a copy of all necessary health forms from the nurse.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on a review of children's medications, it was determined that one medication was not labeled as required. Evidence: One child has two non-prescription medications on site. Neither of these medications were labeled with the child's name. Plan of Correction: I will label both medications today.
